That's the old homepage, I need a new one. So, what can I tell you about this?
Well...
The Galatea Project is an Inferno R2 campaign that chronicles the journies of the GTD Galatea, Cabari class destroyer and flagship of the SOC 7th Fleet, in four chapters. The journies will span from the start of Inferno to eight years after the campaign is finished. The Galatea Project (TGP) will have some new weapons. The player steps into the shows of Captain Richard Johnson, one of the SOC's best pilots. Throughout the entire campaign, you'll have many decision points that will determine which path you'll take. (i.e., there is a meson bomb at a node. If you choose to detonate it, you'll stop a Shivan advance, and then you'll have to clear out the contested systems. If you don't, you fend off a massive Shivan force, go into Shivan territory. This is not, as far as I know, a scenario in the campaign.)
TGP will have, hopefully, over 14 new weapons, from fighter primaries, to a beam that is so powerful, that it'll take down the Gargant in a second. Damn, where is the Dr. Evil smile from HLP when you need it?
And also, hopefully, 10 to 20 new ships, from fighters to a ship even larger than the Gargant- or anything else the Shivans have...
And, if I can be bothered: The Ancients (HIGHLY unlikely, I stress that to get the point across that the Ancients appearing is about a 1% chance), and a new species. If I can be bothered.
Now, feel free to ask any questions you may have. I'll make a new web site for TGP in the morning. Well, technically, it IS the morning (3:09, can't get to sleep) where I live. So, ask away!
